WITH ITS GREEN STEEL VISION, TOSYALI LEFT ITS MARK ON THE WORLD'S MOST IMPORTANT STEEL PIPE AND WIRE FAIR
The most significant steel fair in the world, the Tube & Wire Fair, bears the mark of Tosyalı, one of the top producers of green steel globally. During the fair in Düsseldorf, Germany from April 15–19, Tosyalı hosted its global clientele in two booths. Tosyalı showcased its Tosyalı V-Green brand representing green steel vision and its sustainability-oriented investments during the gala event, which was attended by a special group of 200 guests, including international business associates. The Chairman of Tosyalı Holding, Fuat Tosyalı, stated: "Our sustainability investments, which we have been making with determination for years, have led us to this point. All international certifications attest to the steps we have taken to lower our carbon emission levels. We are introducing our Tosyalı V-Green brand to you here for the first time as a crowning achievement. Tosyalı V-Green represents a vision, a new page opening to the world of green transformation. With almost 40 facilities across three continents, an annual production capacity of 10 million tonnes, and approximately 15,000 employees, Tosyalı, Türkiye's leading producer of green steel, is still expanding and continues to lead the iron and steel industry with its sustainability-oriented innovative products at trade shows.
Tosyalı was also the center of attention of the entire industry and participants at the Tube & Wire Fair, the world's most significant iron and steel fair, held in Düsseldorf, Germany on April 15-19. Participating in the fair with its group companies, Tosyalı hosted customers from all over the world with 2 booths. At the Gala, which was organized with the participation of a special group of 200 people including international business partners, Tosyalı promoted both its sustainability-oriented investments and the V-Green brand, which represents its green steel vision.

The Chairman of Tosyalı Holding, Fuat Tosyalı, gave the following speech during this special meeting: "As Tosyalı, we continue our global growth by making sustainability-oriented investments with the goal of being among the 20 largest companies in the world within 5 years. In order to achieve this goal, we are both making strategic acquisitions to further strengthen us and investing in our facilities which will produce green steel. Green steel is the sole focus of our present investments and all of our future investment plans in different countries. With the recent investments we have made, Tosyalı is now the largest steel pipe producer in Europe. “In the previous year alone, we produced enough pipes to make 16 laps around the globe.” With the new investments we will make in Marmara region in Türkiye, we are increasing our ERW pipe production capacity even further. We further strengthened our position in Europe by recently acquiring the STS factory, one of the top producers of steel pipes in Spain. In many projects across Europe prioritizing sustainability, we took part. Recently with our company, Tosçelik Spiral, we recently won the tender for the "Rhine Water Transport Pipeline" (RWTL), one of the most significant environmental transformation projects in Germany, thanks to our leading green steel producer status. We are focusing on new and big investments in both African continent and Gulf region. With our production facilities and sustainability-oriented investments, we are shown as an example of a green steel producer in the world.’’
Thanks to our cutting-edge technologies, we offer 70% less carbon footprint in our facilities
Stating that they have made serious investments in sustainability-oriented advanced technologies within the scope of Industry 4.0, Fuat Tosyalı said, "We emit much less carbon thanks to the Quantum Furnace technology used in the Tosyalı Demir Çelik Plant in Iskenderun, which is a first in Türkiye. In this facility, 30% less electrical energy and 15% less natural gas are consumed with cutting-edge technologies, more efficient use of scrap, and the use of renewable and clean energy sources such as solar. With all the sustainability-oriented investments we have made, this facility offers a carbon footprint that is 70% less than blast furnaces and 20% less than conventional arc furnaces.”
We will continue to invest in renewable energy
Stating that they have invested in renewable and clean energy sources such as solar and hydrogen, Fuat Tosyalı declared, "With the Solar Power Plant project we implemented with the investments we made in all our facilities at the same time, we have reached 235 MW installed power and become the company with the largest rooftop Solar Power Plant in the world. By avoiding about 171 million kg of carbon emissions with this project, we have become one of the greenest steel producers in the world. With the Solar Power Plant investments we intend to make, by 2025, most of the electricity we use will come from our own production.’’
We emit 50% less carbon than the values set by the European Commission on a product basis
Stating that they started preparations within the scope of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) in advance, Fuat Tosyalı said, "We have established a special team for CBAM and we calculated all our emissions on a product basis with our own data. We have already shared with our customers our own realized emission results, unlike many other businesses. Once again, it has been documented that we emit about 50% less carbon than the default values published by the European Commission. We are ready in advance for the implementation of the carbon adjustment mechanism which will begin in 2026. By obtaining our Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) documents, which show the carbon footprint, which is crucial in the production of green steel, we have certified that we are among the producers with the lowest carbon footprint in the product categories of our Tosçelik Profil ve Sac, Tosçelik Granül, Tosçelik Spiral, Tosyalı Toyo, Tosyalı Filmaşin ve İnşaat Demiri and Tosyalı Demir Çelik facilities.”
