TOSYALI HAS ACQUIRED STEEL TUBULAR SYSTEMS (STS) COMPANY, ONE OF THE LEADING STEEL PIPE MANUFACTURERS IN SPAIN.

Tosyalı, Turkiye’s global steel producer, has acquired Steel Tubular System (STS), one of Spain's leading steel pipe producers, in order to meet the rising demand with the increasing new hydrogen distribution networks in Europe. Continuing its global expansion with this acquisition in Spain after its investments in Algeria, Senegal and Angola, Tosyalı aims to increase the capacity of the plant to 240,000 tons/year with new investments in STS, which has an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of spiral pipes.

Tosyalı, which has investments in Algeria, Senegal and Angola as well as Turkiye, continues to consider investments that can create value in Africa, the Gulf Region and Europe in order to strengthen its goal of becoming one of the world's leading green steel producers.

In line with this global growth strategy, Tosyalı has acquired Steel Tubular System (STS), one of the leading steel pipe manufacturers in Spain, to meet the rising demand in Europe with the increasing new hydrogen distribution networks. Continuing its global expansion with this acquisition in Spain after its investments in Algeria, Senegal and Angola, Tosyalı aims to increase the capacity of the plant to 240,000 tons/year with new investments to be made in STS, which has an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of spiral pipes.

With this acquisition, Tosyalı increased its global pipe production capacity to more than 3 million tons/year and reinforced its position as Europe's largest steel pipe producer.

About Steel Tubular System (STS)

With two plants in Alegría-Dulantzi, near Vitoria-Gasteiz in Spain, STS manufactures spiral welded steel pipe (SAW) with different coatings, producing oil, natural gas, hydrogen and water transmission line pipes as well as structural pipes for civil engineering applications. Most recently, the company manufactured and supplied pipes for the implementation of the Segarra-Garrigues Canal, the most important water project in Catalonia, which will convert a large part of the existing dryland crops in the province of Lleida to irrigated agriculture.
